General Counsel's Office
The General Counsel's Office provides the attorneys that advise the Commission on all legal matters arising from the Commission's regulatory responsibilities. The office administers the formal proceedings before the Commission, assists the Commission in its deliberations relevant to these proceedings, and drafts orders issued by the Commission. The Office of General Counsel defends Commission decisions that are challenged in state and federal court.
The Office of General Counsel also prepares the substantive orders issued by the Commission in Utility Division and Transportation Division cases, as well as numerous procedural orders for both Utility Division and Transportation Division cases.
